As women, our reproductive lives are filled with mixed emotions. There is no simple response to a confirmation of pregnancy, whatever the desired outcome. Although childbirth, miscarriage and abortion are events which occur frequently within the span of our lives, they are often assumed to be separate events, having no crossover of associated feelings …this assumption not only isolates women from each other, but from ourselves.
